Plint tribolgy supplies more than 7 different models of reciprocating tribometers, which invovles long-stroke high frequency, or long stroke with low load for minimizing vibration, or two-station two-sample reciprocating vertically, or even under vacuum or high temperature (up to 1000C) envoirnment.
TE 33 Engine Tribometer
The TE 33 Engine Tribometer is a two-station, vertical axis, long stroke reciprocating tribometer, which combines the reciprocating drive mechanism with the specimen tooling for high temperature test.
The test assembly is located vertically above the reciprocating drive assembly and comprises two fixed specimen arms supported on flexural pivot bearings, which are in turn mounted on linear flexure assemblies. As each arm reacts against its own independent transducer, the friction between the each moving specimen and each fixed specimen is monitored independently. This allows two different material pairs to be tested simultaneously under identical conditions of load and temperature.

TE 76 Two Station Reciprocating Vacuum Tribometer
The TE 76 is a two-station, vertical axis, long stroke reciprocating tribometer, which combines the reciprocating drive mechanism and fixed specimen mounting with a UHV test chamber. The test assembly is located vertically above the reciprocating drive assembly and comprises two fixed specimen pads, each mounted on flexures, with movement in the friction direction resisted by piezo-electric force transducers. The pads have fluid passages allowing the samples to be heated or cooled by circulation of a heat transfer medium.

TE 77 High Frequency Friction Machine
The TE 77 High Frequency Friction Machine is a versatile reciprocating tribometer with a maximum stroke of 25 mm. It is now a well-established research and development tool for evaluation of lubricants, materials, coatings and surface treatments. With the TE 77, sliding contact conditions can be matched to a number of machine elements. Specimens may either be of a standard format, or cut from real components, preserving surface finish and other properties.
The TE 77 is the designated machine for ASTM G 133 and ASTM G 181 standards.

TE 79 Multi-axis Tribometer
The TE 79 Multi-Axis Tribometer is for friction and wear testing of materials under low loads in pin or ball on disc or reciprocating plate configurations. In pin on disc mode the machine can perform tests according to ASTM G 99 and DIN 50 324 and provides a Class 1 contact configuration (pin or ball loaded vertically downwards onto a horizontally rotating disc). In both pin on disc and pin on plate modes, the indexing capability allows tests to be performed in accordance ASTM G132 Standard Test Method for Pin Abrasion Testing, which requires indexation of the pin so that it is always presented with a fresh abrasive surface. The Tribometer is modular, with two optional adatpers together with the base unit.
