Plint tribolgy supplies more than 6 different models of rotary tribometers, with each machine adopting more than 15 types of test adapters, e.g. pin on disc, thrust washer, pin on vee, block on ring, vane pump, oscillation and etc. Based on the TE92 universal rotary tribometer, Plint has developed the TE93 low load high resolution tribometer, TE94 multi-station version, TE91 vacuum tribometer and TE95 high temperature (up to 1000C) & low temperautre (-50C near sample) tribometers.
TE 58 High Pressure Rotary Tribometer
The TE 58 High Pressure Tribometer is a hermetically sealed high-pressure rotary tribometer, designed to operate at pressures up to 15 MPa with conventional refrigerants or CO2 as the pressurizing gas/fluid.
The TE 58 has servo controlled loading with force transducer feedback, servo motor with encoder feedback for speed control, SUPERSLIM Serial Link Interface Module and COMPEND 2000 Window compatible control and data acquisition software. The machine is floor-standing.

TE 91 Precision Rotary Vacuum Tribometer
The TE 91 Vacuum Rotary Tribometer is based on a bench mounted test chamber. A motor driven test spindle, in the form of standard rotary feedthrough, projects downwards into the chamber and carries tooling for mounting rotating test samples. A servo motor with encoder feedback provides a variable speed turn-down ratio of 100:1. Various fixed specimen test adapters can be mounted on a mandrel projecting through the bottom of the chamber and coaxial with test spindle. The mandrel is sealed to the chamber by means of a flexible stainless steel bellows.

TE 92 Microprocessor Controlled Rotary Tribometer
The TE 92 Universal Rotary Tribometer is a versatile test machine for research and development work on materials and lubricants. The test spindle projects downwards from a housing with precision, greased for life, bearings. The drive motor is connected to the test spindle by different pulley arrangements, depending on torque and speed requirements.
Rotating specimens holder is provided by a tapered hole in the end of the test spindle, with accurately machined diameter and end face. The machine has servo controlled, low inertia, pneumatic loading with force transducer feedback and vector speed controlled motor with encoder feedback.

TE 93 Precision Rotary Tribometer
TE 93 Precision Rotary Tribometer provides a lower load range than the standard TE 92 Rotary Tribometer, on which it is based. The incorporation of a linear air bushing in the loading and friction torque assembly allows precise control of the load in the range 1 to 1,000 N and corresponding precision in the measurement of friction torque. Load is applied by means of servo controlled pneumatic bellows with force transducer feedback.
The unit is specifically designed to run tests in the thrust washer and three pin on disc test configurations, with on-line measurement of friction, wear displacement (by capacitance probe) and sample temperature.

TE 94 Three Station Rotary Tribometer
TE 94 Multi Station Rotary Tribometer is a three station test machine specifically designed to run multiple tests in the thrust washer and three pin on disc test configurations under identical test conditions.
Sensors may be provided for on-line measurement of friction, wear displacement (by capacitance probe) and sample temperature.
The incorporation of a linear air bushing in the loading and friction torque assembly allows precise control of the load in the range control of load, range 20 to 2,000 N and corresponding precision in the measurement of friction torque.

TE 95 Low-Temp Rotary Tribometer
The TE 95 Precision Rotary Tribometer – Low Temperature applies a dual axis, in-line, torque and axial force transducer, allowing measurement of both axial load and friction torque on the rotating, upper specimen, as opposed to the more conventional methods associated with more standard rotary tribometers. Measuring the load and friction at the rotating specimen, instead of at the fixed lower specimen, means that the latter can be attached to bulky refrigerant pipes, without inducing unwanted tare forces. The refrigerated test assembly mounts on the bellows actuator shaft, which projects through the air bearing, with the bulky refrigerant pipes projecting through the rear of the test enclosure.
