The 18th International Colloquium Tribology
On January 10-12, 2012, the 18th International Colloquium Tribology was held in Esslingen, Germany. The topic of the conference was Industrial and Automotive Lubrication. Researcher Liu Weimin, Chairman of the Tribology Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Academician Luo Jianbin, Standing Director, Professor Zhang Siwei, Director of the Advisory Committee, Dr. Wolfgang P. Weinhold, President of AMT, and Dr. Yang Wang, CEO of AMT, were invited to attend the meeting.
The meeting of the International Council of Tribology was held on the evening of January 9, and the Chinese tribology delegation attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by HP Jost, President of the International Council of Tribology. Academician Luo Jianbin, vice chairman of the International Council of Tribology, made an application report for the sixth World Tribology Congress on behalf of the Chinese Tribology Branch.
Whether China can successfully bid will be decided by the International Council of Tribology at the Fifth World Tribology Congress in Italy in September 2013.
